abstract | Aniline derivatives and salts thereof having the general formula <IMAGE> in which R0, R1 and R2 are identical or different and are each individually a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a nitro, amino, carboxyl, cyano, hydroxyl, sulphonamido, alkyl, alkoxycarbonyl, alkoxy, alkanoyl, alkylamino, alkylthio or alkanoylamino group or a group of the formula <IMAGE> (in which R5 and R6 are identical or different and are each individually a hydrogen atom or an alkyl or a cycloalkyl group; or R5 and R6 can form a 5- or 6- membered saturated heterocyclic group together with the adjacent nitrogen atom), R3 is a cyano, nitro, alkyl or a lower alkoxy group or a halogen atom; n is an integer from 1-3; R4 is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group; A is an alkylene group; with the proviso that, if R3 is an alkoxy group, a halogen atom or an alkyl group; and if R0 is a hydrogen atom, and A is additionally a methylene group; R1 and R2 are then identical or different and should not be hydrogen atoms, halogen atoms, alkyl groups, or alkoxy groups; furthermore, if R3 is an alkoxy group, a halogen atom or an alkyl group, and R0 is a halogen atom, an alkyl group or an alkoxy group, and A is a methylene group, one of R1 or R2 is then a hydrogen atom and the other should not be a halogen atom or an alkoxy group, are prepared using a variety of processes. The compounds are medicaments having a cardiotonic effect. |
