titleOfInvention | Process for preparing an antigenic oligopeptide |
abstract | The following are claimed: (A) a method for evaluating the possibility of cellular malignancy in a human host, comprising (a) contacting a probe specific for a cellular product (I) with a source (e.g. cells or physiological fluid) from the host suspected of contg. (I), where (I) is mRNA or its expression product, the mRNA being complementary to a DNA sequence of a retrovirus capable of transforming a normal cell to malignancy, and (b) determining the level of binding of the probe to (I) as indicative of the presence of cellular malignancy; and e.g. (C) 41 antigenic oligopeptides (II), antibodies raised to such oligopeptides, and antigenic oligopeptides contg. up to 50 amino acid residues including one or more of the amino acid sequences of (II). |
