A process for preparing the crystalline hydrated form, called the D form, of the sodium salt of the oxime derivative of 7-aminothiazolylacetamidocephalosporanic acid <IMAGE> syn isomer, consists in treating the corresponding acid, syn isomer, a hydrate, an ethanolic solvate or formic acid solvate or a mixture of a hydrate and an ethanolic solvate or formic acid solvate of this acid with a sodium salt of an organic acid in methanol, and isolating the crystalline sodium salt in the form of a methanolic solvate, which solvate is converted, if desired, into a product which no longer contains methanol, and hydrating this compound or its methanolic solvate. |
