titleOfInvention | Method for reacting carboxylic acids |
abstract | Electrical voltage is applied between ends of a channel containing a liquid and carboxylic acid molecules (I,II) having carbon atom alpha to carboxylic acid group are supplied to channel. Electrical voltage makes carboxylic acid molecules to react, carboxylic acid groups are lost, and product molecule is formed in which alpha carbons are bonded. The reaction takes place in liquid in the channel and spaced from electrodes. Electrical voltage is applied between opposite ends of a channel containing a liquid using electrodes and carboxylic acid molecules (I,II) having carbon atom alpha to carboxylic acid group are supplied to the channel. The electrical voltage makes the carboxylic acid molecules to react with the loss of carboxylic acid groups. A product molecule is formed in which alpha carbons are bonded. The reaction takes place in the liquid in the channel and spaced from the electrodes. Carboxylic acids are thus reacted. |
