abstract The process involves: (a) producing tacky and non-tacky areas by selective exposure of a photopolymerisable layer A; (b) contacting exposed layer A with a pigmented transfer layer B on a film base C; (c) peeling off the film base C, so layer B is transferred only to the tacky areas of layer A; (d) contacting the toned layer A' with a temporary carrier material D; (e) removing carrier D, so layer B is transferred from A' to D; (f) contacting carrier D with receptive material E; (g) removing carrier D, so layer B is transferred to E; and (h) repeating steps (b) to (g) at least once, using a new layer B and new materials D and E.
