titleOfInvention Device for synchronizing an on-board odometer
abstract The distance meter (WZ) determines the distance travelled (S) along a line of track (GST) from a reference point (BZ); the section of track is subdivided by separating joins (TS1, TS2) each of which has at least one electrical conductor section (L1, L2, L3) aligned substantially at right angles to the tracks (S1, S2) and serving to supply section-specific track currents to consecutive track sections (GA, GA', GA"). To achieve precise synchronisation, an on-board receiver unit (EE) is provided to receive levels (P1, P2, P3) generated by transverse (relative to the tracks) currents (QS). An evaluation unit (AUSW2) provides an updated reference point (BZ') when the level is received.
