Stable fine cationic dispersions of waxy fats with a mean particle diameter of 100 to 500 nm, containing 20 to 50 wt.% dispersed waxy fats or paraffins, 1 to 15 wt.% nonionic emulsifiers, 0.5 to 40 wt.% cationic surfactants and 1 to 5 wt.% water-soluble electrolytic salts, can be produced particularly well by phase inversion techniques since the addition of water-soluble electrolytic salts lowers the phase inversion temperature of the system to a value below 100 DEG C. The dispersions can be used as skin and hair care agents as well as textile smoothing agents. |
