abstract The invention relates to a induction regulator for controlling the induction rates of a compressor with a housing exhibiting a duct, in that provision is made for a sealing element which can close off the duct and is connected to the piston of a piston/cylinder unit fastened on the housing. According to the invention, the piston is designed as a stepped piston (2), of which a smaller-diameter section (4) forms the sealing element, and the solenoid valve is a 3/2-way valve (14), of which the R-connection (15) is connected to the region of the induction stub (5) and the B-connection (17) is connected to the cylinder base (7) of the piston/cylinder unit. <IMAGE>
