abstract | A process for spray-drying aqueous compositions of valuable substances and mixtures of valuable substances from the group of the wetting, washing and/or cleaning agents in a vertical tower uses parallel or reverse flows of overheated gasses as drying agent. The process is characterised in that small amounts of a finely powdered water-soluble and/or water-insoluble dry powder are separately introduced into the spray-drying tower, in addition to the aqueous valuable substance compositions. Water-insoluble inorganic fine powders rendered hydrophobic are preferably used. The process is particularly useful for allowing the dried valuable substances to be discharged more easily from spray-drying towers driven with overheated steam as drying gas. |
