abstract The proposed traction coupling (10) comprises a saddle (11) in the surface (12) of which an anti-friction plaque (13) is embedded. The anti-friction plaque (13) contains a mixture of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and polyester resin. In the proposed process for manufacturing a traction coupling (10) of this type, fine-grained PTFE is mixed with polyester resin, the mixture is cast in a casting mould in the shape of the anti-friction plaque (13) and allowed to set, and the hardened anti-friction plaque (13) is then removed from the mould and secured (preferably glued) to the saddle (11).
