titleOfInvention Imaging device with book reading and page turning functions
abstract In an image generating device in which an original book can be read whilst its pages are being turned, image data which represent two open pages of an original book are stored in a frame buffer. Of the image data, image data which belong to the front of a page are first read out of the frame buffer and then printed onto the front of a new sheet. Then an image is generated on the rear of a sheet which has been supplied again from a duplex copying hopper or a resupply hopper. On the other hand, an arrangement can be created in which, of the two page image data, the image data read last are first read out of the frame buffer and are then applied to the front of a new sheet and then an image is generated on the rear of a sheet which has been supplied again from the resupply hopper.
