Bilirubin-specific enzyme which has a phenol oxidase activity of less than 0.5 % and an activity for biliverdin of less than 10 %, and has a wide pH optimum and good temperature stability. The enzyme can be obtained from plants such as lucerne and is suitable for the determination and for the degradation of bilirubin, in particular in biological fluids. |
