| abstract | A television receiver comprises a television signal generator for receiving a television signal for outputting a video signal and an audio signal; an accompanying-video signal generator for reading background/lyrics information and accompanying information of a programme which is selected from a plurality of programmes stored in a memory, for outputting a video signal as accompaniment and an accompanying signal, and for generating a pseudo synchronisation signal; a first selector for selectively outputting the video signal which is generated by the television signal generator and the psuedo synchronisation signal which is generated by the accompanying-video signal generator; a second selector for selectively outputting the audio signal which is generated by the television signal generator, and the accompanying signal which is generated by the accompanying-video signal generator; a video output unit for receiving the signal selected by the first selector and the accompanying-video signal as video output; an audio output unit for receiving the signal selected by the second selector as audio output; and a controller for controlling the respective elements in accordance with the mode selection of the television/video accompaniment. In the television receiver, an accompanying-video apparatus is installed which facilitates its use. |
