| abstract | The invention relates to a grinding roller for rolling mills or roller mills and to a method for producing a grinding roller. For cost-effective production and an increase in the service lives, at the same time at a low outlay in terms of repair, a roller casing produced in one part is provided for fixing on a radially inner basic roller body. The roller casing produced in one part has predetermined breaking points, along which the roller casing breaks under a corresponding stress with break surfaces extending radially.
