abstract In a process for producing doped supported metal catalysts from an organic or inorganic support material, the following process steps are provided: a) an organometallic compound of group 1, 2 and/or 13 of the Periodic Table of the Elements is added in solution to the support material for activation; b) one or more metal halides of one of the groups or of a plurality of the groups 3 to 17 of the Periodic Table of the Elements is added in solid or dissolved form to the suspension obtained as in process step a); c) the process steps a) and b) are performed under inert conditions and at a temperature between approximately -80 DEG C and approximately +45 DEG C.
