abstract Solution of a polyurethaneurea in an organic solvent, which solution is particularly suitable for forming thin-walled elastic articles, such as surgical gloves, containing not more than 0.05% of metal chlorides based on the weight of the polyurethaneurea and the polyurethaneurea is a polyesterurethane urea or a Polyetherurethaneurea prepared by reacting an organic diisocyanate and a polymeric diol having a number average molecular weight in the range of 3,000 to 6,000 to form an isocyanate terminated prepolymer having an isocyanate end group content in the range of 1.4 to 2, 0%, the end-reacted prepolymers have then been reacted with a diamine to form the polyurethaneurea, the polyurethaneurea being present in a concentration ranging from 12% to 20% of the total weight of the solution, and the solution having a viscosity t is in the range of 2.5 to 12.5 Pa ยท s, with the further proviso that When the polyurethaneurea is a polyester urethane urea, the polymeric diol ...
