A thermo-electric element is formed from a number of structural units with several electrodes for coupling the structural units. Each of the letter has a pair of thermo-electric semiconductors with a preset heat flow length, and an electrode for coupling the thermo-electric semiconductors. Pref., the insulating film is of metal, typically of copper or aluminium sheet material, with oxidation providing the insulation properties. Alternatively, plastics thin film may be used. The coupling electrodes may be of silver, gold, aluminium or tin oxide. USE/ADVANTAGE - For Peltier effect elements, with high reliability without heat loss. |
