Mixture for creating film coatings for tablets od. Like. |
abstract |
The invention relates to a mixture for providing film coatings for tablets or the like which are soluble in gastric fluid at a pH above 3, consisting of poly(ethyl acrylate/methacrylic acid) and a plasticizer. The invention comprises addition of a water-soluble, nontoxic substance which is solid at normal temperatures and pressures and is inert towards poly(ethyl acrylate/methacrylic acid) and of a base in an amount such that, on addition of this substance in dissolved form, flocculation of the poly(ethyl acrylate/methacrylic acid) is avoided. This results in even thicker coatings composed of this mixture being soluble in gastric fluid. |
