abstract |
A gas is added to a defined measured amount of water, in particular waste water (effluent) which has been adjusted to a weakly acidic pH and is blown out of a blowpipe at a pressure low enough so that continuously bursting water bubbles form at the blowpipe mouth. These break the measured amount of water down into fine water particles as a result of which the escape of carbon dioxide is facilitated. The apparatus for this provides a degassing element (5) which has an expansion vessel (12). Into this there projects from the top an inflow nozzle (17) which tapers to form a blowpipe (20). On the lower side of the expansion vessel (12) there is placed an outflow nozzle (21) through which the mixture of water, gas and carbon dioxide exits. <IMAGE> |
