titleOfInvention Pressure-sensitive, skin-friendly pressure-sensitive adhesive and its use for the production of self-adhesive, sheet-like substrates
abstract A pressure sensitive adhesive suitable for skin contact, comprises a mixt. of: (A) 30-85 wt.% of an acrylic acid ester acrylic acid copolymer with 2-8C in the alcohol component and contg. 1-10 wt.% acrylic acid; (B) 0-30 wt.% polyvinylisobutylether; (C) 0-20 wt.% of a hydrogenated colophony resin ester of a polyhydric alcohol with 5-6C in the alcohol component; (D) 5-20 wt.% of a hydrogenated colophony resin ester of a monohydric alcohol with 1-2C in the alcohol component; and (E) 0-20 wt.% of a terpenephenolic resin; opt. together with additional components with the exception of organic isocyanates.Pref. the acrylic ester component in the copolymer (A) is n-butyl acrylate and/or 2-ethylhexyl acrylate. The copolymer may contain 0.5-30, esp. 1-25 wt.% additional comonomers such as methacrylic acid, methacrylic acid esters. (meth)acrylonitrile, vinyl acetate or styrene. Pref. the adhesive compsn. is made in the form of an aq. dispersion which is pref. adjusted to pH 7-8, esp. 7-7.5 with aq. ammonia. The adhesive is esp. applied from aq. dispersion to flat substrates such as polyurethane film or incision films to form single- or two sided self adhesive films.
