titleOfInvention Polymer layers on optical objects and process for their production
abstract A polymer layer isproduced on an optical article by A) applying a, pref. 5-18%, soln. of an acrylonitrile (co)polymer to the article and B) thermosetting the coated article, pref. at 200-600 deg.C. The coating is pref. 50 nm to 20 microns thick. The comonomer can be e.g. Me acrylate, styrene, methacrylic acid, vinylidene chloride, methacrylonitrile. The optical article can be made of glass, metal, crystal, semiconductor or plastic. USE/ADVANTAGE - For optical articles used in the visibile and IR spectral region. As absorption layer for solar, radiation protection and laser techniques. The layer can be produced economically and simply. It has defined absorbent, reflecting and laser properties.
