A method of making a stent comprising the steps a) act biodegradable fibers to give a cylindrical stent; b) in a first thermal setting step, thermally adjusting the stent in a mold of suitable diameter at a temperature higher than the glass transition temperature and lower than the melting temperature of the biodegradable fibers; c) subsequently reducing the diameter of the stent by compression by inserting the stent into a tube having a smaller diameter than that of the stent to obtain a compressed stent, and d) in a second thermal setting step, thermally adjusting the compressed stent that is not stronger than in the first thermal setting step. |
