HOSE SLEEVE, WITH AN ORGANO CHLORINE-FREE O (DOWN ARROW) 2 (DOWN ARROW) AND WATER VAPOR-OPPERABLE LAYER, METHOD FOR THEIR PRODUCTION AND USE |
abstract |
Organic C1-free tubular sausage casings based on regenerated cellulose carriers coated on the surface with (a) a 5-40 micrometre thick polymeric C1-free water vapour barrier layer with a water vapour permeability pf at most 50 g/m2.24 h and a surface tension of less than or equal to 34 mN/m, and (b) an additional 5-40 micrometre thick polymeric C1-free oxygen barrier layer with an 02 permeability of at most 120 cm3/m2.24 hr.bar and a surface tension of greater than or equal to 38 mN/m. USE/ADVANTAGE - The combination of two coating layers gives better barrier properties than the sum of the barrier properties of the two individual layers and is esp. useful on regenerated cellulose casings for cooked sausage such as liver sausage. The casings contain no organic C1, which is advantageous on ecological grounds, and can be filled on automatic filling machines without detriment to the barrier properties of the coating. |
