Melt adhesive, prepd. from melt adhesive compsn. which is capable of being cross-linked by irradiation, is new. The melt adhesive compsn. comprises (a) a styrene-isoprene-styrene block copolymer, polyisobutene, an ethylene-vinylacetate-copolymer, polyvinyl ether or an acrylate cpd. (b) 0.01-15.00 (most esp. 0.1-10) wt.% of a cpd. of formula (R1R2C=CR3-C(O)x-(CH2)m-(CH2C(O)))n-NH-)2-Z (where R1, R2 = H, F, Cl, Br or I; x = 0 or 1; R3 = H, CN, halo or Me; m = 0-12; and Z = 2,4-toluyl, 2,6-toluyl or 1,5-(1-methylene-1,3,3-trimethyl)-cyclohexylene); and opt. (c) softeners, tackifiers, fillers or anti-aging agents. USE/ADVANTAGE - The adhesives are useful for e.g. plasters, transdermal therapeutic systems, adhesive tapes, etc.. The adhesives have low viscosity, high cohesion and good adhesion. |
