The switching system uses a coupling field (KF). The multiplex signals supplied to the latter are converted into a pulse transmission frame of 152 rows and 64 columns, each comprising a single byte comprising 8 bits, or 152 rows and 8 x 64 columns, each comprising a single bit. The coupling field has a time coupling field (ZKF1), a spatial coupling field (RX, RY) and a second time coupling field (SKF2), with time slot control of the spatial coupling field. ADVANTAGE - Increased switching capacity for same cross-connector volume or reduced volume for same switching capacity. |
