abstract |
The engine has a cylindrical bore with an inner rotating piston assembly. This has shaped recesses in its outer shape in which shaped combustion elements (12) are mounted, hinged on the piston by one end. The other end of each combustion element has a cranked drive to a planetary wheel (14) meshing with a central sun wheel (14a). The rotating piston has oil control rings and oil seals on its outer edge. The piston is held between two end walls. The outer cylinder wall is double and contains water cooling ducts as well as the inlet- and outlet-ducts and the spark plug fittings. ADVANTAGE - Simplified construction, simpler compression sealing. |
