abstract A compsn. contains, dispersed in an organic soln., 100 pts.wt. an organopolysiloxane compsn. comprising (1) 50-99 (60-80) pts.wt. of a diorganopolysiloxane with terminal OH gps., of formula (I); (2) a crosslinker in an amt. of 1-30 (5-20) pts.wt. w.r.t. (1); and (3) 1-50 (5-30) pts.wt. inorganic filler. In (I) R = (substd.) 1-20C hydrocarbon; and m = 20-10,000, pref. 100-5000. Pref. no less than 50 mol.% of R are methyl gps.. Pref,, (2) is an oxime-type crosslinker and (3) is at least 50 wt.% silica. The solvent has a b.pt. of 40-250 deg.C at 1 atmos. and is from chlorinated-, aromatic-, aliphatic- and alicyclic-hydrocarbons and liq. organopolysiloxanes. The compsn. also contains a cpd. from hydroxysil(ox)anes, alkoxysilanes, silazanes, organic acid esters and polyols. USE/ADVANTAGE - Used for coating a web to form paraglider canopy materials made from nylon and/or polyester fibres wherein the compsn. is dried at an amt. of 1.0-1-.0 g/m2 (claimed). Can also be used for surf sails, yacht sails, etc.. The coating is elastic, water-resistant and has good, long-lasting properties.
