abstract |
In prodn. of thermoplastic or thermosetting amide gp.-contg. polymers by splitting off CO2 from reactants comprising (A), (B) and opt. also (C), the reaction is catalysed by a tert. amine, pref. a heteroaromatic tert. amine opt. with substits. with +I and/or +M effects or a further heteroatom. Reactant (A) is a polyfunctional (cyclo)aliphatic or aromatic isocyanate and/or an NCO-terminated oligomer made from such isocyanates. (B) is a carboxylic acid and opt. reactant (C) is an alcohol or polyfunctional prim. or sec. amine, with at least (B) or (C) being polyfunctional and/or (B) and (C) being linked to form a hydroxy- or amino-carboxylic acid. |
