abstract A cosmetic, consisting of two phases, sepd. until use and briefly forming on shaking together a homogenous emulsion which separates again after shaking into a aq. and an oil phase, contains 0.25-5 wt. % of a 6-18C acyllactylate or a water-soluble salt. The content of acyllactylate is 0.5-3%. The pref. cpd. is isostearoyllactylate. The oil phase is mainly a siloxane, esp. hexamethyldisiloxane. ADVANTAGE - The emulsifier has a caring effect on the skin and hair.
