titleOfInvention | Neutron dosimeter and process for its manufacture |
abstract | The main object of the invention is to provide a personal neutron dosimeter and a neutron dose rate meter, both of which can realize an effective equivalent dose-effect curve. DOLLAR A The personal neutron dosimeter according to the invention can be obtained by creating a composite layer on the surface of a semiconductor neutron detection element, the layer being made of a converter such as boron and a proton emitter. The neutron dose rate meter of the invention can be obtained by a structure in which a neutron detector is surrounded by a neutron moderator and an aperture-type absorber for thermal neutrons. DOLLAR A As a result, a personal neutron dosimeter and a neutron dose rate meter are created, both of which can implement the effective equivalent dose-effect curve and a measurement at a lower operating voltage. Furthermore, these measuring devices can be implemented by using a single semiconductor detection element. |
