titleOfInvention METHOD FOR THE UTILIZATION OF VALUABLE COMPONENTS OF CLEANING SLAVES
abstract Recovering usable materials from sludge involves laying the sludge on flat fluid impermeable underlays after the water has been removed from it, and removing further water through a drain system. The dissolved plant fertiliser is collected as sump water and the remainder of the plant fertiliser and organic matter in the sludge is passed through vegetation which takes up a lot of water and builds up green masses which can be used as a biomass. Compressed rubbish surfaces are pref. used instead of artificial basic compression. The sludge to be removed is mixed together with structure carriers, bulk materials or plant fertilisers to improve its mechanical strength and suitability as fertiliser material. The layers of sludge are built up in a number of layers, to give a partial water extn. and form a biomass and improve its performance on laying. Water drains are located between separate sludge layers and below layers. Sump water is trickled back once or more times, as additional fertiliser to form the biomass, to the surfaces of the sludge layers, or injected within them. Additional water is sprayed over the sludge layers to increase the fertilising action. As the sludge is deposited in layers, they are covered with thin layers of compost or earth or ground stone, to dampen any emitted smell. ADVANTAGE - The method handles municipal sludge from sewage so that it can be disposed safely and without incineration or spreading of harmful and toxic matter, in an economic operation.
