abstract The hair dye contains known components and a bis-cationic disazo dye of formula (I). In (I) R1, R2 = Me or Et; An2- = chloride or tetrachlorozine cation. ADVANTAGE - A uniform hair colour from roots to tips is obtd., and the scalp is not dyed. In an example, an emulsion contg. 0.2 g of (I), 4g of nonionic co-emulsifier, 2g of fatty acid diethanolamide, 1.5 g of cationic tenside, 2 g of alkylpolyglycol ether, 4g of 1,2-propylene glycol, 0.85 g of Soerensen phosphate buffer, and 85.45 g of water was applied to the hair as a dye foam from an aerosol dispenser with a propane/butane mixt. After 10-20 mins., a uniform, brilliant, red-violet shade was obtd.
