titleOfInvention NEW SUBSTITUTED N-ARYL UREAS
abstract Substd. N-aryl urea derivs. of formula (I) are new. R1 = H, Me, halogen (pref. Br or Cl) R2 = H or Cl; R3 = Me, allyl, methallyl or aralhyl, in which the aryl gp. is opt. substd. with halogen, NO2 or Me; provided that if R1 and R2 are both H, and R3 = Me, the methyl gp. on the aryl gp. in R4 is only in position 2- or 3-. USE/ADVANTAGE - (I) can be used in agriculture as plant protecting agents. (I) can be obtd. simply and in good yields, the prods. being pure and mainly crystalline. The prepn. of (I) is ecologically advantageous (unlike prepns. of known cpds. similar to (I)) in that, in order to ppte- and purify (I), water, or organic solvents which are less polluting (e.g. ethanol) can be used.
