abstract A lubrication oil cleaning arrangement has an integrated solid separator contg. a separator magnet (7) in an oil collection hopper (2). Each part of the hopper, or of a collector (6) inside it, in which iron slurry (5) is deposied with the aid of the magnet, is exposed to the magnetic field of a measurement induction coil (9). The coil produces a measurement value corresp. to the deposited iron slurry whilst current is supplied to it. Comparison data memories and operating time detection devices with corresp. converters are used to derive an operating life prognosis or inspection deadline from the measurement data. USE/ADVANTAGE - Allows for long inspection intervals and extended oil life at low risk as well as monitoring of state of wear of machinery during operation.
