Ceramics contain 27.1-39.9 (mol.%) P2O5, 22.5-36.0 CaO, 14.5-30.0 R2O and 5.0-25.0 MgO, where R2O contains up to 30 mol.% Na2O and up to 12.0 mol.% K2O. Reabsorbing phosphate glass ceramics comprise main crystalline phases of Ca-ortho phosphate and/or Ca- and/or Na-diphosphate, and glass phase, and reabsorbing phosphate glasses and ceramics have a sealed or porous structure. USE/ADVANTAGE - Bone replacement. |
