titleOfInvention | PRESENSIBILIZED PLATE FOR USE IN THE MANUFACTURE OF LITHOGRAPHIC PRINTING PLATES WHICH DO NOT REQUIRE MOISTURE WATER |
abstract | Pre-sensitised plates for lithographic pressure plates have a substrate with a polymerisable light sensitive resin layer and a silicon gum layer respectively, where the light sensitive layer contains a thioxanthone photopolymerisation initiator of solubility not below 5 g in 100 ml trimethylolpropane triacrylate at 25 deg.C. The plates pref. have a priming layer. The light sensitive layer comprises a) a monomer or oligomer with at least one photopolymerisable olefinic double bond; b) a polymer cpd. soluble in an organic solvent, which is solid at room temp. and has film-forming properties, and c) a photopolymerisation initiator contg. the thioxanthone cpd. and at least one opt. initiator chosen from dialkylaminoarylcarbonyl cpds., xanthones, acridones, benzanthrones, benzophenones and anthraquinones. USE/ADVANTAGE - Useful for prepn. of lithographic pressure plates, requiring no wetting with water. |
