abstract |
The developer is applied to a development zone subjected to an alternating electric field. The amt. applied is controlled by the pressure of a magnetic rod at a development zone formed on a developer conveyor at a radius of curvature of 0.5 to 15mm. The carrier is of magnetic granules with a coating of porous resin particles, each having a specific surface value BEJ of 5 sq.m. per g. to 150 sq.m. per g. and a wt.-cross-section particle size of from 1.5 to 5 microns. The granules are also formed from bound fine prim. resin particles of wt.-cross-section size of not more than 0.5 micron. The layer-like, coating is produced by dry layering. USE/ADVANTAGE - Contactless application of two-component developer. Stable developer layer produced of even thickness. Copies of good durability produced even after long usage. |
