titleOfInvention AMPHOTERES TENSID AND APPLICATION PRODUCTS FOR YOUR USE
abstract Amphoteric surfactants of formula (I) are new: R = 8-20C residue; pref. OH-substd. Q = anionic gp; x = 2-6. Pref.R = tallow, olein or coconut, fatty acid residue, OH substd. Q = CH2COONa or CH2CH2COONa. USE/ADVANTAGE - (I) are used with other anionic, nonionic or cationic surfactants in washing and cleaning compsns. when combined with anionic surfactants (II) they are useful when combined with nonionic surfactants (III) in domestic or industrial cleaners. (I) make possible the prepn. of concn. prods. which remain clear at low temp. They show a synergistic effect with (III) and significantly reduce irritation to the skin.
