abstract |
Bright-coloured alkoxylated alkyl and/or alkenyl glycoside partial esters are obtained if: (a) a mixture containing an alkyl and/or alkenyl glycoside and a solvent is treated with a reducing agent; (b) the solvent is separated out; (c) the remaining reaction mixture is partially transesterified in a manner known per se in the presence of alkaline and/or alkaline earth salts and emulsifiers with fatty acid low-alkyl esters; (d) the transesterification product is alkoxylated in a manner known per se with ethylene and/or propylene oxide; and (e) the alkoxylation product is then neutralised with an acid. |
