titleOfInvention STATIONARY PHASE FOR ADSORPTION CHROMATOGRAPHIC SEPARATION OF POLAR SUBSTANCE GROUPS AND METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF
abstract Stationary phase (I) for adsorption-chromatographic sepn. of polar groups of mixts. into acidic and usual components consists of silica gel coated with TiO2. Prepn. of (I) comprises treating silica gel with Ti (IV) alkoxide soln. and then hydrolysing the alkoxide adsorbed on the gel to TiO2, the silica gel pref. being present as a layer on quartz rods. USE - (I) is used in sepn. methods employed in environmental analysis and in the crude oil industry for sepg. oils and extracts from rocks into three to four different substance classes: satd. and aromatic hydrocarbons, polar components and asphaltenes.
