titleOfInvention | NEW 6-ARYL-6H-DIBENZO- (C, E) (1,2) -OXAPHOSPHORINE, A METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF AND THEIR USE FOR STABILIZING PLASTICS |
abstract | Prodn. of dibenzo-(c,e)(1,2)-oxaphosphorins of formula (I) involves (a) reacting a halogenated hydrocarbon of formula R1(Hal)n (II) with at least the stoichiometric amt. of Mg under Grignard conditions, followed by (b) reacting the resulting organo-Mg cpd. with 6-chloro-6H-dibenzo-(c,e)(1,2)- oxaphosphorin (III). In formulae, n = 1 or 2; R1 = Ph (opt. with 1-3 substits.), naphthyl (opt. with 1-5 substits.) (these substits. being 1-8C non-aromatic hydrocarbyl, alkoxy, alkylthio or dialkylamino, 6-10C aryl or aryloxy, or Hal with atomic number 9-35), or phenylene, biphenylene or naphthylene (opt. substd. with up to 4 1-8C non-aromatic hydrocarbyl gps.). - More specifically, Hal (in cpd. (II)) = Cl or Br; stage (a) is carried out in aprotic organic solvent, pref. an ether, and the reaction is carried out under the action of ultrasound. |
