Triazinone derivs. of formula (I) are new. In (I), R1 = H, 1-5C alkyl (opt. substd. by 1-3 of halo, 1-3C alkoxy or 1-3C alkylthio) or 3-6C cycloalkyl (opt. substd. by 1-3 of halo or 1-3C alkyl); R2 and R3 = H or 1-4C alkyl; R4 = 5-membered heterocycle with 1-4 heteroatoms, at least one being N, and the others N, O or S or a 6-membered heterocycle with 2-4 N; these opt. substd. by 1-3 of halo, 1-3C alkyl or alkoxy, NH2 (opt. substd. by 1 or 2 1-3C alkyl), 1-3C alkylthio, OH, SH or phenyl; Z = -N = CH- or -NH-CH2-1. Tautomeric forms and acid addn. salts are included. More specifically Z is -N = CH-; R2 = R3 = H; R1 = Me, Et, isopropyl or cyclopropyl; R4 = unsubstd. heterocyclyl. USE/ADVANTAGE - (I) are pesticides for control of insects (esp.) or acarina. They are well tolerated by plants and warm-blooded animals; are more stable than phosphates and carbamates and have both contact and systemic activity, partic. against aphids. The usual application rate is 0.1-0.5 kg/hectare. |
