Oral hygiene products containing a) 0.01-5% by weight of a non-cationic bactericidal component whose solubility in water at 25 ° C is less than 1% by weight, b) 0.005-4% by weight of an antibacterial enhancer activator (AVA) to increase the supply of the bactericide to the oral areas and to retain the bactericide in these areas and c) an orally-acceptable carrier which dissolves the bactericidal component in an effective plaque-preventing amount in saliva, wherein the oral care product is free of tartar-preventing polyphosphate compounds; the AVA has at least one residue which attaches or attaches the AVA with the bactericide to the oral surfaces and thus increases the supply of the bactericide, and at least one residue which binds the bactericide to the AVA and thus increases the retention of the bactericide , contains; the restoring agent provides an acidic residue selected from the group of carboxylic, phosphonic, phosphinic and sulphonic acid residues and salts thereof. |
