titleOfInvention | PROCESS FOR COATING METALLIC OBJECTS IN BELT LACQUERING METHOD |
abstract | Coating of metallic objects in a burnt-in lacquer process in which either a priming coat A (dry film coating thickness of at least 5 microns) and a coating lacquer B (dry film coating thickness of at least 10 microns) or a single-layer lacquer C (dry film coating thickness of at least 10 microns) is applied onto a metal strip, A and B or C are hardened at 200-260 deg.C for a burning time of 25-70s and contain: (a) 20-40 wt.% mixt. (a1) 70-95 wt.% polyester pref. of aromatic dicarboxylic acids or their anhydrides and pref. (cyclo)aliphatic diols; (a2) 5-30 wt.% triazine resin or; (a3) 5-30 wt.% blocked polyisocyanate, in which the wt. sum of a1-a3 is 100 wt.%; (b) 10-40 wt.% pigments and/or fillers and/or suitable auxiliary agents and additives; (c) 0.1-2 wt.% catalyst; (d) 20-65 wt.% organic solvent; (e) an additive to produce a structured surface in which the wt. sum of (a)-(e) is 100 wt.%. Component (e) is a dispersion in which: (e1) one or several polyolefin- and/or polyamide waxes and/or one or several silicones and/or one or several acrylate copolymers; (e2) one or several fillers and (e3) one or several organic solvents are heated initially under stirring to at least partially dissolve e, in the solvent followed by cooling to ambient temp. USE/ADVANTAGE - To produce metallic objects for the mfr. of household appliances (claimed). |
