The non-flammable material (M) is pref. fluid freon, halon gas or fluid tetrafluorodibromoethane. USE/ADVANTAGE - Vehicle safety. Fuel tank and lines are surrounded by a non-inflammable fluid or gas in self sealing container walls. Escaping fuel forms a non-inflammable emulsion with the fluid or gas.
