Aq. condensate from the treatment of combustion fumes is collected in a container (1) to be neutralised before pumping (5) into the sewage system. Neutralising agents may be solid, powdered or liq,, esqp. a soln. of citric acid and di-sodium hydrogen phosphate, and supplied form a store (3) via a metering unit (4). Depth of collected condensate is monitored by a sensor (6) used with a control circuit (7), which also receives data on the neutraliser feed situation. Batchs of neutralised condensate are only discharged when depth and pH value are within accepted limits. Should condensate discharge not produce the correct level drop, the combustion plant is switched out of operation. USE - For countering aggressive components (HCl, H2SO4, wtc.) present with water in condensate, in making ready for discharge into sewage system. |
