titleOfInvention | METHOD FOR PRODUCING FREE EPSILON POLYLYSINE |
abstract | A method of producing free epsilon -polylysine comprises treating an epsilon -polylysine solution, preferably obtained by cultivating micro-organisms having the ability of producing epsilon -polylysine, through a basic anion exchange resin and treating the solution passed through the resin by precipitation in an organic solvent, freeze-drying or by spray drying to obtain free epsilon -polylysine. Alternatively, instead of an anion exchange/resin, an acidic cation exchange resin can be used which adsorbs the epsilon -polylysine thereon. The adsorbed epsilon -polylysine is eluted by washing with an alkaline solution before the further treatment outlined above. |
