abstract | The invention relates to a photosensitive material for the production of lithographic printing plates by brief high-intensity exposure, which material comprises a substrate (base, carrier, support) and, thereon, at least one silver halide emulsion layer and a layer containing nuclei for physical development, where an interlayer containing a water-permeable film-forming polymer is provided between the emulsion layer and the layer containing the nuclei. The invention also relates to a process for the production of a lithographic printing plate from said photosensitive material, in which the photosensitive material is briefly exposed imagewise to high intensity, the development is carried out by the silver complex diffusion transfer method, and the plate is subsequently treated with an oxidant for silver and with an oleophilic organic compound. |
