abstract | An improvement process is for a yarn produced in the rotor of an open end spinning machine with a real twist, led through a yarn withdrawal nozzle and then deflected on false twist edges located diagonally to the thread course first towards one side and then to the opposite side. After passing the last false twist edge and before passing through a pair of removal rolls, the running yarn is subjected to a false twist leading to fibre-spreading movements and/or oscillations. The outer fibre ends of the yarn are spread radially. Specifically, an installation for carrying out the process incorporates a false twister located between the last false twist edge and the pair of removal rolls. The false twister is equipeed with an installation for the prodn. of cyclon current rotating round the longitudinal yarn axis. The installation is equipped with a tube through which the yarn runs and into which at least one pressure air-conducting tangential duct opens. |
