Compounds of the formula A'-B'-C'-D' in which A' stands for a mono- or bicyclic group whose rings contain the highest number of double bonds, where, if the group is heterocyclic, it contains one or two heteroatoms selected from amongst nitrogen, oxygen and sulphur with the proviso that if the monocyclic group denotes a phenyl ring, the latter carries at least one substituent and that this is other than hydroxyl, B' stands for -CO- or -SO2- C' stands for -O-, -NH- or a bond, and D' stands for piperidyl bridged by alkylene, the alkylene bridge member being bonded to 2 ring carbon atoms and additionally containing an epoxy group on adjacent carbon atoms or a double bond between two adjacent carbon atoms, and their acid addition salts and quaternary ammonium salts, processes for their preparation and therapeutic compositions containing them for use as 5-HT3 antagonists. |
